This idea is so amazing.

I think prices should be higher.

Either that or get a /lockcharacter ability that locks a character from being deleted for a month every time you pay 100k.

Or maybe the ability to password protect a storage tab at 50k/month.

Let's not forget that GW:1 rapidly seems to be becomming a huge Beta for GW:2 anyway...

When you log on to GWG why do you even bother looking through Sardelac Sanitarium if you don't think people should be making game suggestions?

Go to Riverside and annoy Avarre.

I like that one. It's not like copying tons of expensive weapons would *really* do anyone any good...you can't wield 2 and it's only you who will be able to use them. (And your heroes I guess)

and if you pre-order gw2 you get 50% off.

and if you get an additional 5% off for every rank in the KOABD title you have. (highest rank only!)

Maybe I'm missing something, but this doesn't seem to make too much sense to me.

Last I heard, Regina said that the issue about restoring character and such is that ArenaNet does not currently have the adequate technology to do deal with it. As far as I can tell, they certainly would lack manpower to deal with several million customers and their characters as well.

Given that, I'm not sure how we can hope for ArenaNet to suddenly come up with this policy they don't have the time, manpower, or technology for, and then compensate them by giving their Xunlai Agents cyber gold.

It's giving them cyber gold to pay extra attention to your account.

ok, so...

Suggestion: Make a system to save game progress.

That was basically my point in post #1 if you ignore all the fluff.

I love the idea because it can be easily abused
Hurray for moar exploits!

But anyway, someone once suggested to lock a character for real money, and I think that is a better suggestion (i am too lazy to search the thread :P)

I kind of prefer the /lockcharacter thing, but this would be a good start too I guess...

It seems kind of silly to me I really think Anet should protect our accounts. This is really not needed if Anet would do its job. I would rather pay real money for a system that Anet could impliment. I think Anet would be more intersted in a system if they could sell it and make some money.

There's a concern of mine that says if you insure your account, trade away some things, report the account, and get it reinstated, those traded-away items will still be out there, which is certainly something we don't want.

I'm not sure how that loophole can be fixed with this idea, so I'm going to say /notsigned. That's unfortunate, because the idea of protecting characters/accounts from malicious acts seems important, but this plan has a severe loophole that I can't figure out how to fix.

I guess many ppl would only be able to ensure 1 character then...I understand this is supposed to be expensive, but those prices are kinda ridiculous. Please do not flame me with comments like "OMG FARM MOAR NOOB LOLOL"...

Well, maybe in-game cash aswell...

Right now I'm not sure, I'll try to think later.
In response to that I would pay both for 3 reasons:

1. Game Money is easy to get.
2. The Real money fee wouldn't be THAT high so its affordable.
3. Both game and real money can be re-acquired, your work on the account will not.

The way account recovery is now, I'd say it's impossible to use this idea. And I doubt Anet will pay you, or just give you something to compensate for YOUR loss. Especially when they don't have to. I have to say, /notsigned for little possibility.
